This project tackled Le Corbusier's Domino as raw material for a writer's studio. The structure separates areas of stillness from those of movement and change. In areas of tranquility, such as the writer's work space, the Domino structure remains intact, while for areas of circulation and socializing, a tensile structure intersects the space. This tensile structure encloses a series of suspended living space and supports a spiraling circulation system. It engenders a dynamic perceptual and spatial experience that attempts to realize Le Corbusier's conception of the architectural promenade.
